Mole Scram™ high concentration formula repels moles and alters their environment in three ways: 1) The castor oil coats worms, grubs and bugs, making food both unpleasant to taste and uncomfortable to digest. 2) Our formula turns mole tunnels & surrounding soil bad-smelling. 3) Lastly, the natural oils used in Mole Scram™ also reduces insect activity which lessens their food availability and denying them yet another food source. Is it a Mole or Gopher? Evidence of moles are seen by volcano shaped mounds of soil. In contrast, gophers make horseshoe or crescent shaped mounds of soil. Moles can dig up to 18 feet in an hour, are rarely seen, have no natural predators and are hard to trap. Moles are most visibly active during wet conditions (spring & fall, or with irrigation) when worm activity near the soil surface is greatest. Dry conditions & hot summers send moles deeper into their tunnel systems. Worms are a mole's principle diet - so mole activity will continue even if grubs are killed.
